The Great Wall Adventure Bicycle Challenge

Just North of Beijing is some of the best riding in China. Roads sponsored and paid for by Beijing are undoubtedly in the best condition in all of China. Second to this is the fact that many of these roads meander through some spectacular rock formations and valleys. We seek the places beyond the normal “go-to” tourist destinations choosing not only stunning locations but peaceful and safe.

This bicycle challenge has been partly inspired by the good work of Tom Lanhove who founded the Trek Peloton Bicycle Club. Finding and discovering routes in Beijing that are really quite second to none - nothing less than world class!

If you cannot join us on Friday, you can meet us on Saturday and start your ride then. Meeting time and cost for this two-day ride is the same as those for the three-day ride.

Final Drop-off Point: TREK Store, Chaoyang, Sunday July 11, 6 PM

Cost of Tour: 1,550 RMB

Yunnan Bicycle Challenge

Does the thought of 8 hard days of bicycling through Yunnan's remote volcanic crystalline lakes & sweeping gorges, visiting one of China's last matriarchal societies, while at the same time creating a sustainable positive impact on the communities you pass through spark your interest?

Building off the success of the Yunnan Bicycle Challenge last fall, we will once again take Adventure Challengers through the beautiful scenery of Yunnan and Sichuan from Lijiang, Yunnan through Lugu Lake ending up in Xichang, Sichuan.

Pu’er Bicycle Challenge

New this year, China Charity Challenge has further explored the best that Yunnan has to offer with an Adventure Travel trip that focuses on the full experience of Tea production. Adventure Challengers on this bicycle/trekking tour will come away with a first-hand experience of tea production from harvesting with local villagers to hand-processing and packaging a brick of Pu’er tea. Fit for the palate of Emperors and formerly used as money in the bartering of goods, with a history of almost 2,000 years, the Pu’er tea tradition is among China’s first.
